It’s worth starting off this article with the machine itself – there’s a reason people talk about Vita’s potential so often. So without further ado, here are ten reasons (and believe me, there are many more than this!) that I love the PlayStation Vita. Vita is my favourite console since the original PlayStation and although I love both machines for vastly different reasons, Sony’s final handheld is worth celebrating and I have no doubt that it will be as beloved in years to come as the Dreamcast is now. They’re all valid points and it’s undeniable that Sony and partners didn’t capitalise at all on the potential the handheld offered, leading to its ultimate performance in the market. Whether it be the lack of mainstream third-party support, inflated memory card prices or poor quality ports of beloved games, you don’t have to search long to find a sea of content about why the console failed. The Vita’s problems were well documented throughout its life.
